Boda Skins is a fashion brand born and crafted in Manchester. Since 2013 they have grown global reputation for their high quality handmade leather jackets, worn by A-listers such as Justin Timberlake and Johnny Depp. Bodaskins approached us to help convert their big, empty industrial shed in Salford into a maker-space/ storehouse where their evolving team can develop the business.
We love working with young, passionate, ambitious businesses and once we realised they were also rule breakers and big fans of raw industrial materials we knew for sure we would get on famously!
The proposed split level design with mezzanine maximised the volume of the space and opened up new possibilities for the how they use it. The space beneath the mezzanine could be utilised for storage whilst the floating deck could be cleared for uncluttered workspace.
